Jon Bernthal, the man who played Frank Castle, The Punisher, in Daredevil Season 2 and his own solo series on Netflix is back! Back in a very big way! Remember when Daredevil S2 landed on Netflix about 8 years ago this month? And everyone who saw Jon in his acting debut as The Punisher became enthralled by Jon’s performance as Frank Castle, the man they called The Punisher, who laments not being able to read to his beloved daughter her favorite book, “One Batch, Two Batch, Penny and Dime” one more time the night before before she, along with her brother and mother, got killed by warring gangs while riding on the carousel in Central Park?
That regretful act continues to haunt him to this day. And likely we will see him uttering the phrase again when Marvel Entertainment brings to viewers everywhere Daredevil: Born Again premiering on Disney+ in 2025 about a year from now.
Feast your eyes on Jon Bernthal’s latest post on his Instagram account.
This confirms his role of appearing in Daredevil: Born Again as Frank Castle (aka The Punisher) for another bout over how crime should be fought with Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil played by Charlie Cox) and perhaps a major battle against Wilson Fisk (better known as The Kingpin played by Vincent D’Ornofio). Remember what Frank told Kingpin before he left prison in one episode of Daredevil S2,
Frank: “Fisk. The next time we meet, one of us will walk away.”
Kingpin: “I’ll be looking forward to that.”
